Disney's Aristocats review

Disney's Aristocats is pure magic, charming and funny,  and in my opinion is quite underrated.

It's funny and lighthearted with memorable characters and I find Duchess and Thomas O'Malley are especially great and their romance works quite well, similar to how good the love story in Lady and the Tramp worked.

Most of the animation was very good and of a style similar to 101 Dalmatians even though I don't think it reaches the height of quality that particular masterpiece does. However I thought some of the backgrounds look lackluster and some viewers might be distracted by the scratchy look around the edges on the characters.

The music is great but especially 'Everybody Wants to Be a Cat' which is very jazzy and pure fun.

The weakest point of the film in my opinion is the villain Edgar.  His bumbling nature is amusing but he is not very intimidating or interesting compared to some of the past villains such as Captain Hook and Cruella Devil.

This family friendly movie has an alcohol references and a comically drunk character but is generally appropriate for all ages.

Overall Aristocats is a great film but not perfect and I would give it an 8.5. It's very fun!
