Disney's Jungle Book Review
Disney's Jungle Book is a captivating and magical film filled with astounding visuals and top-notch soundtrack. Seriously the Jungle backgrounds are lush and beautiful and the music, which ranges from slow, haunting, and mysterious to upbeat and jazzy. The songs "Bare Necessities" and "I Want to Be Like You" are extremely catchy, delightful, and memorable.
Besides the amazing sights and sounds, the characters and story are among the best Disney offered so far. Baloo is lovable, Baghera is wise, and the elephants are particularly enjoyable and hilarious. It's truly a hoot when Colonel Hathi and the other elephants are on screen they are so funny and charming. And Shere Khan is very intimidating and a pure menace, another great villain.
Overall, Jungle Book is very family friendly. Perhaps some small children might be frightened a bit as there is some non-graphic violence.
Jungle Book is an absolute masterpiece and a top contender of best film so far as it has everything you would expect and more from a Disney film of this era with unforgettable charm, visuals, and music and some of the best characters, especially the lovable Baloo. A 10 out of 10.
